McCain Slams LA Times On Obama-Khalidi Tape, Despite His Own Ties

Prof. Rashid Khalidi

Sen. John McCain says the Los Angeles Times would show a tape that purported to show him at a neo-Nazi event, therefore he can’t understand why it won’t release a video of Barack Obama in the company of Prof. Rashid Khalidi, chair of the Middle Eastern Studies Department at Columbia University. (FOX) Khalidi was an informal adviser to the PLO in the early-1990s. (JTA)

One problem for the McCain campaign: while he served as chairman of the International Republican Institute (IRI), McCain distributed several grants to the Palestinian research center co-founded by Khalidi, including one worth half a million dollars. (Huffington Post)
