Senate Race In Kentucky Puts McConnell On Defense

Polls show Democrat Bruce Lunsford trailing Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell by only a few points, and the Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee pushed TV ads attacking McConnell earlier this month. (Washington Post) Former president Bill Clinton campaigned for Lunsford on Friday.

Democrats who seek a filibuster-proof 60-seat Senate majority will need an upset in deep-red states like Georgia, Mississippi, or Kentucky.
