Republicans Are Happier Than Democrats, Despite Polls

A Pew survey confirms findings from previous decades that Republicans report being happier than Democrats, despite their electoral downturn. (Washington Post) Only 9% of Republicans report being not too happy, compared to 20% of Democrats. Explanations range from Republicans being more self-centered to their having more money, better health, more stable marriages and jobs, a belief in self-help, and deeper religious convictions.
