Angry Voters Threaten GOP Seats

An anti-Republican wave has put a number of U.S. Senate seats in play that just weeks ago were considered safe, reports the conservative Washington Times. Georgia, Minnesota and Alaska are among the closest Senate races (with Democratic upsets now likely in New Hampshire and North Carolina). Democrats would need to win all three and keep Joe Lieberman (CT) in order to gain win a filibuster-proof 60-seat majority.  In the U.S. House, Democrats could also win as many as 29 additional seats (on top of their 36-seat majority).  Pollster.com lists a more cautious 21 House seats as toss-ups.
