Inquiry Finds U.S. Attacks Killed 30 Afghan Civilians

An inquiry by the U.S. military concluded that American airstrikes on an Afghan village on Aug. 22 killed 30 civilians, far more than U.S. commanders had acknowledged. (NYT)
