Todd Palin, husband of Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin, was a member from 1995-2002 of the Alaska Independence Party (AIP), to whom Gov. Palin said: “Keep up the good work.” AIP’s founder, Joe Vogler, called for secession from the USA. Iran invited him to address the United Nations in 1993. (Salon)
