AT&T’s iPhone 3G Subsidies Hurt Margins [ANALYSIS]

AT&T sold 2.4 million subsidized iPhone 3G devices during Q3, increasing sales but adding $900 million to customer acquisition costs and cutting margins by almost 2 full points. AT&T says this hit will be offset by higher-than-average revenues from iPhone users. (FierceWireless)
