IBM Unveils ‘Baby’ Mainframe For Midsize Businesses

IBM is luring midsize businesses with a new “baby” mainframe running Linux and costing a fraction of the amount charged for high-end Systemz mainframes IBM released in February. IBM argues these machines are more cost-effective than x86 servers. (InfoWorld)
