MasterCard, Visa Settle $3B Discover Lawsuit
MasterCard and Visa agreed late Monday to pay $2.75 billion to credit card issuer Discover to settle a lawsuit over anti-competitive practices. Meanwhile, Discover’s former parent company, Morgan Stanley, has filed an additional charge claiming it is entitled to $1.2 billion of the proceeds. (Reuters, Bloomberg)
