OPINION: Bank Rescue “Raw Deal” For Taxpayers

Nobel Prize-winning economist Joseph Stiglitz criticizes the U.S. Treasury’s $250 bank recapitalization plan as a “raw deal” for the U.S. taxpayer, arguing that the government should have issued convertible shares giving it the right to benefit from future upticks in market prices. (The Guardian)
