U.S. Retail Sales Signal Recession

The U.S. Commerce Department reported September retail sales fell 1.2%, the most in three years, as American consumers reigned in spending on almost everything except health care products and gas.  Auto purchases declined a steep 3.8%. (CNNMoney)
